Who is Barnhand for?
Small farms, homesteads, and barns with more than one person keeping things running - an owner plus family, helpers, or hired crew who need to stay on the same page about chores, feed, medicine, and schedules.
How do I join my farm's Barnhand?
Your farm's owner or manager sends you an invite (a link, a code, or an email/text) from inside the app. Open it, confirm your name, and you're in - no separate account creation needed.
Can I sign in with just my phone number, or does it have to be email?
Either works. You'll get a one-time sign-in code by text or email depending on what you gave your farm - there are no passwords to remember or reset.
Who can see what?
Only people added to your farm can see its data, and the owner controls each person's permissions - for example, a helper might be able to check off chores and log feed, but not delete records or manage the team.
Does it work if there's no signal at the barn?
The app is built mobile-first for people standing in a field or a barn, not a desk. A full offline mode is on the roadmap; for now a normal cell or Wi-Fi connection is needed to sync.
Is my farm's data shared with anyone else?
No. Each farm's data is private to that farm's own members. See the Privacy Policy for the full details on what's collected and why.
How much does it cost?
Barnhand is currently free while it's in testing. Pricing for the public release hasn't been announced yet.
